Water leak detection and repair

Leaks rarely surface where the break is, which is why guessing gets expensive. We locate the leak properly, bringing in sonic detection where it takes that, then repair it. Residential and commercial, 7 days a week, 7am to 5pm.

How it works

  1. Call or book

A real person answers 7 days a week, 7am to 5pm. We confirm an arrival window that actually works for you.

  2. We diagnose

We locate the leak before opening anything, because water travels and the stain is rarely above the break. Some show themselves quickly; the rest take sonic detection.

  3. You get a flat quote

One number, parts and labor, approved before we start. No surprise line items.

  4. We fix it and clean up

Once it is located you get an estimate for the repair, or for rerouting the line where that is the sounder fix. Most leaks are repaired the same visit, though larger supply runs may need a return once parts are sourced.

Straight pricing, no surprises

You get a flat quote before any work starts, and it does not change once we are in the wall. The diagnostic fee is credited toward the repair. For full replacements we offer financing, so a failed tank does not have to turn into a bad month.

  • Alex and the team at Northwest Plumbing are outstanding. We had an emergency with a significant leak on our side of the city water main, discovered first thing the morning by city crews. I reached out to Northwest via their web interface, and Alex and her office team both called back within an hour and a half. She had availability (thankfully!) in the afternoon, and we were fully fixed and back up before 3 PM - amazing. The project also came in squarely within her estimate range at a very fair price, especially for short-notice work. The little things also really mattered - they send text updates when they are en route, when the service is active and complete, and also sent pictures with the invoice via email of the repair before and after the work. It was refreshing to have all of this customer-facing communication. Overall the customer service experience on top of the actual high-quality plumbing service was fantastic. The fact that they are local and woman-owned is also a great bonus.

  • A major leak at my commercial building. These ladies got me right into the schedule and took care of it all. From my first call to completion it was less than 5 hours. Communication was so great. I knew when they were coming, received a call about the task at hand and what the cost would be then the work was done. The day could have gone completely different for me and my tenant but it all went so smooth. I will continue to support this small Humboldt County women owned business.

  • Alexandra replaced the waterline from the meter to my house and under the house too. She did it all in one day and at a very fair price. No more leaks! I am very happy I used Northwest Plumbing Solutions and will be calling her back for more work soon. I highly recommend Alex.

Water leaks questions

A jump with nothing visible usually means the leak is underground, under the slab, or inside a wall. Shut everything off and watch the meter: if it still moves, water is going somewhere and it is worth locating properly.
